Electrolysis
If
you are looking for a permanent solution
to an unwanted hair problem, Electrolysis
may be just what you need. While it is one
of many forms of hair removal, it is the
only permanent method. Other forms of hair
removal, including Laser Hair Removal, are
faster and easier, but only Electrolysis
can guarantee permanent hair removal.
Hair removal by electrolysis is accomplished
by using a tool called an ‘Epilator’.
The Epilator treats each individual hair
by inserting a tiny surgical probe into
the hair follicle and directing an impulse
of energy down to the root of the hair.
The energy impulse causes localized damage
to the area surrounding the hair. If inserted
correctly the probe will not puncture the
skin, it will slide directly into the follicle.
This is a very slow and exact process, but
the time and care taken ensures permanent
results.
Electrolysis cannot be completed in one
treatment, it is a weakening process. Each
treatment causes the hairs directly treated,
to die, but the energy impulse stimulates
new hair growth directly around the area
previously damaged. The new hair grows finer
and thinner, so it is less noticeable. Each
additional treatment will treat these new
hairs until hair growth stops completely.
Depending on the area seeking removal of
unwanted hair, treatments can take up to
four years to successfully complete. While
this time span is longer than any other
hair removal treatment, the results are
permanent. With a series of regular treatments,
unwanted hair will become a permanent reality.
Waxing
Not completely comfortable enduring expensive
and painful procedures for hair removal?
Waxing could be the right answer for you.
Waxing is one of the most effective methods
for temporarily removing hair in both small
and large areas. Hair can be removed quickly
and with minimal discomfort.
The waxing method is a very simple technique
that has been around for thousands of years.
Hot wax is applied to the area where the
unwanted hair resides and then a strip of
paper or cloth is pressed on top of the
wax. The wax cools off and the strip is
quickly pulled away from the skin, taking
the hair with it.
There are generally two types of waxing,
warm waxing and cold waxing. Warm waxing
is usually performed at salons or spas whereas
cold waxing is usually performed at home
with wax bought at a drug store. Warm waxing
is more effective than cold waxing, because
maximum hair removal is more likely achieved
when someone else is doing the removing.
Waxing is more beneficial to you than simply
shaving because it is a method that allows
hair to be removed from below the surface
of the skin. When hair is removed from below
the skins surface, it takes longer for the
hair to grow back. Also, if hair is repeatedly
removed from the same area over a period
of time, the quantity of hair re-growth
will be permanently reduced.
Hair can be waxed from almost any area
of the body including eyebrows, mustache,
legs and bikini line. It is a great solution
for temporary hair removal and it works
well at diminishing the overall re-growth
of hair.
