Rosen
Method
The Rosen Method, rather than working with
the physical state of the body, works with
the patients repressed emotional state.
This method uses communication as well as
a gentle, direct touch where the hands are
more likely to ‘listen’ than
feel. The Rosen Method seeks out the connection
between tense muscles and unexpressed emotions.
As the clients’ breath deepens and
relaxation occurs, it is more likely that
emotions, feelings and attitudes that were
once hidden, will emerge.
The Rosen Method is often used by people
who are seeking relief from conditions like
fatigue or asthma, as well as those suffering
insomnia, back pain, headaches, joint pain
and muscle tension. This method works to
address unconscious stress in order to free
the body of everyday tension that may be
caused by repressed emotions. When tension
is relieved, it leads to better physical
and emotional health. The Rosen Method is
used by many who are seeking personal development
as well as emotional release.
